My birthday was Sunday. I had the great pleasure of spending the weekend with my sister and one of my best friends. We each brought a bottle of champagne, my BF sent a bottle of Dom, and we got a large hotel room in Rockland, Maine.

I rarely get to have a "girls weekend". In fact, I don't even remember that last time. Here's what we did;
Met at the hotel. The hotel was chosen because of its view of the harbor. It was socked in all weekend.

Rainy days, a weird schedule for my son, my daughter trying so hard to get a job, it's been a strange summer. My son starts school in just a couple of weeks. My daughter goes back to college a month later. Zip the time has gone!

Do you celebrate Christmas and/or New Years? I do but know people who do not. What did you do for the holidays?

Christmas for me was very nice, the kids went to candlelight service at church with me. This was the first time they agreed to go! We were tired and cold so skipped our usual drive around looking at house decorations.
